It's bound to be an emotional day for the families of two women found murdered in the last two years.

Accused killer William Elliott, 24, is scheduled to appear in court in Duncan Tuesday morning to face two counts of first-degree murder.

The RCMP announced the charges in April, a year and half after the body of 42-year-old Karrie Ann Stone was found burned in Glenora.

Elliott is also accused of killing Tyeshia Jones, who was 18 years old when she was found dead near the reserve in Duncan in January 2011.

Elliott is acquainted with the family of Mary Jim, Jones' mother.

It's not clear whether Elliott will enter a plea to the two charges.
