NewsSecret recipe to success for Father's Day Pancake Breakfast
Campbell River is celebrating Father’s Day like it has for the 45 years; with the Rotary Club’s Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast. The grills will fire up at 8a.m. on June 17 at the Community Centre and start flipping pancakes. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children. This decades-strong event is put on by the Daybreak Rotary Club to bring Campbell River together. “The community has helped us as well and this is the reason why we’re having our pancake breakfast to show our appreciation to the community,” says Larry Chen with the Rotary Club. The Club works for months ahead of time to prepare for the breakfast. There is even a secret pancake recipe the Rotary Club has used for years and has no intention of giving up. The event is a known hotspot for Father’s Day with entire families getting in line for their flapjacks. It usually wraps up around 12:30p.m. depending on how busy it becomes. “It’s a great place to come together,” says Chen. Most Viewed Stories
