If you showed up to work late Wednesday morning because you were stuck in traffic on Trunk Rd. in Duncan or Tzouhalem Rd. in North Cowichan, you weren't alone.

And if you’re a little miffed at the timing of the construction work that caused the back-up, you aren't alone either.

One SunFM listener called to say he wasn't happy with how the road was reduced to one single alternating lane without notice.

"It would have been nice to have a little heads up that it was going to be coming,” Rory Collison said. “Or, why all of a sudden, did they need to do it right in the middle of peak travel time?”

Duncan city crews are working on Trunk Rd. at Coronation St., but it's not clear what the exact nature of the work is. Calls to Duncan Public Works Dept. have not yet been returned.
