An accident on the Malahat had traffic at a standstill Wednesday evening from about 5:30 p.m.

The two-vehicle accident was just south of Goldstream Park and delayed traffic in both directions.

There's no word on injuries, but the accident was cleared up within an hour.

Over the summer and into the fall and spring, median barriers will be installed along sections of the Malahat. The first section 1.4 kiloometre section of that work wrapped up last week near Finlayson Arm Rd.

Motorists can expect crews to be working along the corridor at different times in the next nine or ten months.
