NewsInjury forces Crofton's Emily Zurrer to sit on sidelines in London
Crofton’s Emily Zurrer didn’t make it on to the pitch Tuesday in London, as the Canadian women’s soccer team tied Sweden 2-2 to advance to the quarter finals. Zurrer re-injured her hamstring just before the start of Saturday’s game against South Africa. It was disappointing for the soccer star who helped Canada get to the quarter finals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. In Tuesday’s game against Sweden, Canada’s Melissa Tancredi scored once in each half to earn the draw. Similar StoriesMost Viewed Stories
