Another cyclist has been hit in Duncan, this time, in front of SunFM radio.

A driver was about to turn right onto the Trans-Canada Highway from Cowichan Way when a cyclist proceeded to ride onto the crosswalk.

One witness, who was driving by when the collision occurred, told SunFM News that the driver had stopped at the intersection.

“He was stopped at the stop sign, definitely. He couldn’t have been going more than 2 or 3 miles an hour when he hit him.”

The cyclist is said to be suffering from a fracture to the leg. Police were interviewing witnesses at the scene and said charges against the driver are possible.

It’s a far less serious accident than one that occurred on Lane Rd. Aug. 2.

Francisco Ramirez, 29, went through a stop sign on Moorfield, was hit by a truck and later died of head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
