Two Cowichan Valley teams are in the top tier at the BC Secondary Schools' Rugby Union’s boys' championships in Abbotsford.

Shawnigan Lake School beat St. George’s 33-13 in the semifinal game Thursday to advance to the final in the AAA division. They take on Carson Graham Saturday afternoon.

Brentwood College stamped out Rockridge 37-3 in Thursday’s AA division semifinal and will take on Collingwood in the final game, also Saturday.

Cowichan Secondary School was hoping for a 9th place finish in the AAA but it wasn't meant to be. They had a heartbreaking loss to West Vancouver, 22-19, after a second overtime period, so the team isl now vying for 11th or 12th place when they take on G.P. Vanier.

Also in the AA division, Ladysmith takes on Windsor for 9th or 10th place.
