A 15-year-old girl and nine-year-old boy are recovering from injuries after an ATV accident on Owl Rd. in Shawnigan Lake Monday afternoon.

According to Shawnigan Lake RCMP, the girl was driving the ATV with her brother on the back when she apparently lost control and flipped into the ditch.

The kids were able to push the four-wheel vehicle off them. A local resident called 911.

The boy was wearing a helmet but the girl was not. They were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
