A cyclist is recovering from what are being described as serious injuries after being hit in Cobble Hill on Sunday.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP said a man from Lantzville, 39, was hit near Fisher Rd. by a man driving a Toyota Camry.

Ambulance took the cyclist to Victoria General Hospital with non-life threatening injures.

The cyclist was riding in front of the car with a cycling partner who ended up getting a flat tire.

The cyclist had turned around to help his friend when he was struck.

The police said they are not considering charges, and they did not have details on the cyclist’s injuries.
