Rings, watches and electronics seem to be the most sought-after items in break and enter cases in Duncan and North Cowichan in the past few months.

But this time, items related to logging and tree topping were the bounty for thieves who allegedly broke into Blue Coast Safety on Allenby Rd. early Thursday morning.

The RCMP said thieves made away with a significant amount of gear, including safety boots, harnesses, loggers pants, and some earthquake preparation kits.

As with any case, the RCMP ask you to contact them or Crimestoppers if you know anything about this break and enter and theft.
