If you ride, you've likely been paying attention to the new laws in effect June 1 on helmets and height requirements while on a motorbike.

But there is some fun news for riders as well as residents who enjoy watching tricks on wheels.

The city of Duncan is inviting a famous motorcycle stuntman, Insane Kane Friesen, to do a show on July 14 during the Summer Festival Parade. One of his fans is City Councillor, Sharon Jackson.

“He is an incredible motorcycle stunt guy. And it’s going to draw people from all over the island and from the mainland.”

Jackson thinks riders from Washington will also join the parade and 100 km motorcycle ride. Insane Kane is scheduled to do three shows after the parade.

The special events are part of the Duncan centennial celebrations.
