A grade 11 student on Saltspring can get back to her studies after successfully organizing this year’s Relay for Life.
17-year-old Erin Pringle said it felt great to see the event come together.
“It felt amazing, it was so exciting, everyone coming together. It was a big relief off my shoulders that it was happening and that everything went well.”
Over 150 people participated Friday night and have so far raised over $20,000.
Pringle says she was honoured to organize the event and if her studies allow it, she will do it again next year.
