The RCMP and the Coroner say no foul play was involved in the case of a person found dead on Bowen Island on the long weekend.

The BC Coroners Service has identified the man but will not release the name until all of his family is notified.

Coroner Barb McLintock, said they expect to release the identity of the man later Thursday or Friday morning.

The body was found last Friday afternoon, local residents immediately wondered if it might be that of missing teen Jodi Henrickson., but quickly witnesses claimed it was a man’s body.

This was confirmed and the Coroner told SunFM News that this has nothing to do with the three-year-old missing person's case of Henrickson, the 17-year-old was last seen on Bowen Island.
