NewsGas prices jump over 12 cents in parts of the Valley
If you think gas prices are bad now, you could be in for a summer of staying home or taking public transit. How about that bike? Some Cowichan Valley residents woke up today to a 12-cent increase overnight. Prices in Duncan and Mill Bay were 137.9 a litre, while it was only 127.9 a litre in Ladysmith. Our Vancouver neighbours paid over 150.0 a litre this week, well above the national average 127.2 a litre. Some experts state the closure of BP's Cherry Point refinery in Washington is leading to the higher prices in western Canada.
