Cowichan Valley teachers were supposed to get a treat Tuesday as BC Teachers' Federation president Susan Lambert was scheduled to make a presentation at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan, but apparently she couldn’t make it.

BCTF Vice-president Jim Iker attended instead, to give details on the "action plan" teachers are voting on this week.

Cowichan Teacher Association President Shelly Trimble told SunFM News there is not a clear outcome to how teachers will vote this time around.

“I can’t say, you know democracy is wonderful, I presented the facts, I presented the pros and cons, and all of the information. Teachers will vote their conscious on this one and we will see where we go from here.”

If approved, the plan could include teachers stopping all extracurricular activities, like field-trips and grad ceremonies.

Results from the response to Bill-22 are expected Friday.
