A cyclist was being treated for injuries on Lane Rd. in Duncan after being hit by a truck near Morfield Rd. at about 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

BC Ambulance spokesperson Kelsie Carwithen said a helicopter was sent to the scene.

“A cyclist was experiencing critical injuries and was struck by a vehicle.“

Listeners called SunFM news to say the RCMP are at the scene and have police tape blocking off the road at Morfield.

If you're driving that way, you may be asked to turn around.

Carwithen could not describe the extent of the cyclist’s injuries.
