A cyclist struck on Lane Rd. in Duncan Thursday morning has been taken to the Victoria General.

BC Ambulance spokesperson Kelsie Carwithen said a helicopter was sent in around 10:40 a.m. and the cyclist was airlifted from the Cowichan District Hospital.

Carwithen is not permitted to describe the extent or nature of the cyclist's injuries.

Listeners called SunFM news Thursday morning to say RCMP members were at the scene and had police tape blocking off the road at Morfield.
